A-Rods done with centaurs, now has a photo of himself & J.Lo above his bed
Back in the day, several of Alex Rodriguez’s former and current lovers confirmed one delightful and awful (delightfully awful) little fact: A-Rod keeps a painting of himself as a centaur above his bed. He likes to look at himself as a centaur when he’s getting down to it. He likes to wake up and look at Alex-the-Centaur first thing in the morning. I love that piece of information so much, I even mentioned it in the very first post confirming that A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez were starting to happen. Well, Jennifer is Alex’s transformative love. He’s no longer content to simply be the Centaur. Now he keeps something new above his bed.
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are a work of art — literally. “Alex has a huge picture of himself and Jennifer above his bed in the master bedroom of his Coral Gables mansion,” a pal of the former New York Yankees slugger, 42, reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
And his Florida mansion isn’t the only one graced with his likeness. In 2009, Us exclusively revealed that Rodriguez, who was dating Kate Hudson, had two paintings of himself as a centaur hanging in his bedroom. “You know, the half-man, half-horse figure?” an ex-fling clarified to Us at the time. But it seems the photo with his current love, 49, may be the most special. Adds the insider, “He says it’s his favorite piece of artwork in all of his houses.”
CB and I were debating whether this means that A-Rod REPLACED the centaur painting with a giant photo of himself and Jennifer, or whether the Centaur painting only resides in his New York apartment/home and his Coral Gables mansion is for the J-Lo love. With A-Rod’s means, you’d think that he could commission as many centaur paintings as he wanted for ALL of his homes. Perhaps he could even commission a painting where he and Jennifer are BOTH centaurs.

YAS there is an ancient history of lady centaurs!! They were called centauresses. J.Lo could be a centauress with an ample backside, and A-Rod could be depicted as the larger, ‘roidy centaur galloping to her rescue. Why am I thinking so much about this? I don’t know. I just want to know which photo he chose to put above his bed. I bet he’s exactly the kind of guy who chose a photo where he looks amazing and she just looks okay. Does that photo exist?
