Aldi is selling Ben & Jerrys ice cream for $8
Aldi is known for its bargains – but now the budget supermarket is selling a cult dessert at a much cheaper price than its rivals.
TikTok user Adrian Widjy spotted discounted Ben & Jerry’s tubs on sale for $7.99 at the German retailer – $5 less than other major supermarkets.
The popular social media creator shared the bargain find on social media, urging his followers to “run” to Aldi in a video that has been viewed almost 20,000 times.
“Do you want to score Ben & Jerry’s for 40 per cent off it’s usual price?” he begins in the video.
“Usually at major groceries they are around $13, so this at $7.99 and its peanut butter fudge!
“Yum and great price!”
Excited TikTok users couldn’t believe the amazing discount, with many saying that their local Aldi store had already run out of stock.
“Wow! The crucial question is do they have phish food flavour?” one commented.
“They’re already all sold out!” said another.
The US brand usually retails at $13 full price in Woolworths and Coles, meaning shoppers can grab a tub for $5 less than usual if shopping at Aldi.
It was first reported that Aldi was selling pints of Ben & Jerry’s back in 2021 for $8.99, but that price has since been slashed by $1.
A spokeperson for Aldi said the stores were exclusively selling the Peanut Butter Fudge Core flavour for $7.99 for a limited time only.
