It’s a day filled with baby news, so why not add to the mix that soon-to-be parents Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have some more baby news of their own? We already know they announced their first pregnancy last month, so is it time for the couple to announce the gender of their unborn baby? Not so fast; they don’t want to know.

“Blake and Ryan aren’t finding out what they’re having. They want to be surprised,” says a friend of the couple who is close to the family. The friend adds that Lively is feeling “super relaxed and mellow,” which is a common feeling for expectant moms in the second trimester of their pregnancies. It seems that while the couple is looking forward to a surprise in the delivery room, they are very excited about becoming parents for the first time.

The former Gossip Girl actress spoke out about her pregnancy and her husband shortly after she unveiled her pregnancy with a lovely photo, and she had nothing but wonderful things to say about the man with whom she is expanding her family.

“He’s always good to me. That’s like a jery thing to say because you want to be able to complain about your husband and be that person, but he takes pretty good care of me,” she said to Us Magazine following the reveal of her pregnancy. Sure, some women do like to complain about their husbands, but we like to hear from women who choose to look at the positives rather than the negatives.

While they still haven’t announced a due date, it’s pretty clear that the actress is going to give birth sometime at the beginning of 2015, but we won’t have a clue what she’s having until she makes that announcement on her own.
